Sous le Vent, meaning downwind, is an aromatic chypre created by Jacques Guerlain in 1933 and released alongside Vol de Nuit that year. It opens on bergamot, lavender, tarragon, basil, verbena, myrtle and galbanum, with jasmine, carnation, ylang-ylang, orange blossom and iris at the heart, over oakmoss, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, Peru balsam and musk.
