Created by Thierry Wasser for Guerlain, La Petite Robe Noire opens on cherry, bergamot, and almond, moves through a heart of rose, tonka bean, and liquorice, and closes on patchouli, vanilla, and musk. Its title, The Little Black Dress, positions the fragrance as an effortlessly chic essential, and its distinctive cherry-almond gourmand structure, playful yet sophisticated, became one of Guerlain's most commercially significant 21st-century feminine releases, eventually spawning its own extensive flanker line.
