What it smells like

Vanilla smells warm, sweet and creamy, like custard, warm milk and a hint of caramel. Beneath the sweetness there is a soft, balsamic, slightly woody depth and sometimes a whisper of smoke or spice. It feels comforting and enveloping rather than sharp, and it wraps around other notes to round off their edges. As a base note it lingers for hours, giving gourmand fragrances their dessert-like glow and adding a cozy sweetness to florals, woods and ambers.
