Coque d'Or was created by Jacques Guerlain and launched in 1937, its name taken from Rimsky-Korsakov's opera Le Coq d'Or, The Golden Cockerel. It opens on peach, citrus and orange, with iris, rose, carnation, clove and violet at the heart, over oakmoss, leather, amber, sandalwood and labdanum.
