The Fragrance Wheel's "Water" category — marine and oceanic accords, often built around the synthetic molecule Calone, discovered in 1966. Calone's salty, ozonic character defined the entire marine/aquatic fragrance boom of the 1990s, from Cool Water to Acqua di Giò.
