Cool Water(1988)

Created by Pierre Bourdon for Davidoff, Cool Water opens on sea notes, mint, and lavender, moves through a heart of sandalwood, jasmine, and geranium, and closes on musk, oakmoss, and amber. Its pioneering use of Calone, a synthetic material with a fresh, ozonic, marine character, made it one of the founding fragrances of the aquatic genre that would dominate mainstream masculine perfumery through the 1990s, and it remains among the most commercially successful and influential men's fragrances ever released.
