Created by Olivier Polge for Viktor & Rolf, Flowerbomb opens on bergamot, osmanthus, and tea, moves through a heart of jasmine, orchid, and freesia, and closes on patchouli, musk, and vanilla. Its dense, explosively projecting white-floral-patchouli structure, matched by a grenade-shaped bottle referencing the designers' provocative fashion sensibility, became one of the best-selling and most influential feminine fragrances of the 2000s, its formula still widely referenced as a benchmark for maximalist modern florals.
