Muguet Fleuri(1924)

A lily-of-the-valley soliflore from Jacques Guerlain, opening on green notes before the muguet heart, closing on musk and woods. Like all lily-of-the-valley compositions, its central note is a synthetic reconstruction, since the flower yields no usable natural essential oil, built using the same aldehydic materials that had made the note commercially viable since the turn of the century. It joins Houbigant's Premier Mai and Coty's earlier muguet soliflore as part of a well-established genre of lily-of-the-valley showcases spanning multiple houses.
