Guerlilas(1930)

A lilac soliflore from Jacques Guerlain, opening on bergamot before the lilac heart, closing on musk, woods, and vanilla. Its name blends Guerlain directly with lilas, the French word for lilac, a portmanteau naming device the house used occasionally to stamp a simple soliflore with a more distinctive, brand-specific identity. The added vanilla in the base gives it a softer, sweeter finish than a plainer lilac composition.
