Created by Faberge's in-house perfumers, Brut opens on lavender, citrus, and herbal notes, moves through a heart of geranium and spices, and closes on oakmoss, musk, and tonka bean. Its accessible price point and broad distribution made it one of the best-selling men's fragrances of the 20th century, becoming a fixture of mainstream drugstore fragrance counters for decades. Brut is frequently cited as a defining example of the classical fougere structure translated into a mass-market format.
