Tresor(1989)

Created by Sophia Grojsman for Lancome, Tresor opens on peach, apricot blossom, and lilac, moves through a heart of rose, iris, and heliotrope, and closes on sandalwood, vanilla, amber, and musk. Grojsman built the fragrance around an unusually smooth, radiant rose-iris-heliotrope accord with few sharp edges, aiming for a warm, universally appealing sillage rather than a distinctive, angular signature. Tresor became one of the best-selling fragrances of its era and remains widely cited as a defining example of the soft, blended, crowd-pleasing style of perfumery that flourished through the late 1980s and 1990s.
