Portrait of a Lady(2010)

Created by Dominique Ropion for Frederic Malle's Editions de Parfums, Portrait of a Lady opens on raspberry, clove, and cumin, moves through an extreme overdose of Turkish and Bulgarian rose alongside cinnamon, and closes on patchouli, sandalwood, musk, amber, and incense. Its enormously dense, spiced, patchouli-drenched rose structure is widely regarded as one of the most significant and acclaimed fragrances of the 21st century, frequently cited by perfumers and critics as a landmark achievement in maximalist rose-chypre construction and one of the defining works within Malle's influential catalog.
