Philosykos(2001)

Created by Olivia Giacobetti for Diptyque, Philosykos opens on fig leaf and fig fruit, moves through a heart of green notes and coconut, and closes on fig tree wood and woody notes. Its meticulous, almost photographic rendering of an entire fig tree, leaf, fruit, milky sap, and wood, made it one of the most acclaimed and influential fig compositions in niche perfumery, still cited as the benchmark against which subsequent fig fragrances are measured.
