Madame Rochas(1960)

Created by Guy Robert for Rochas, Madame Rochas opens on aldehydes, bergamot, and peach, moves through a heart of rose, jasmine, and lily of the valley, and closes on sandalwood, amber, musk, and vanilla. Robert, who would go on to create numerous other significant fragrances across his career, built a refined, classically elegant aldehydic floral intended to complement rather than compete with Rochas's earlier and more assertive Femme and Moustache. It became one of the house's flagship women's fragrances, valued for its polished, harmonious construction, and remains part of Rochas's historic catalog as a benchmark of mid-century aldehydic floral sophistication.
