An overdosed lilac composition from Houbigant, opening on bergamot and green notes before the concentrated lilac heart, closing on musk and woods. Le Temps des Lilas, Lilac Time, ties the fragrance to lilac's brief springtime bloom, a fleeting-beauty theme common in period naming. As with lily of the valley and wisteria, lilac's natural scent resists conventional extraction, so the note here is a synthetic reconstruction.
