Following the straightforward single-flower template common across the house's smaller releases, this composition showcases jasmine, one of perfumery's most expensive and prized natural absolutes, with minimal additional ornamentation beyond its citrus opening and woody-musky base. Grasse jasmine, hand-picked before dawn to preserve its full scent, remained one of the costliest raw materials available to perfumers throughout this period, and a dedicated soliflore built around it represented a genuine luxury offering even amid wartime economic pressures. Released in the same year as the more ambitious Mon Boudoir, it illustrates the range of Houbigant's simultaneous output, from simple single-note showcases to complex multi-material aldehydic florals. It stands as one of several jasmine-focused compositions across the house's catalog, following in the tradition established by its earlier florals like Le Parfum Ideal and Coeur de Jeannette.
