Femme (Rochas relaunch)(1943)

A wartime relaunch of Edmond Roudnitska's Femme for Rochas, sharing the original 1933 composition's plum-bergamot-peach opening and rose-jasmine-cinnamon heart over the same oakmoss-leather-patchouli-amber base. Reissuing an established success rather than launching an entirely new fragrance was a common strategy during the material-constrained war years, when sourcing the full range of natural ingredients for a new composition was considerably more difficult.
