Farouche(1973)

Created by Michel Hy for Nina Ricci, Farouche opens on aldehydes, bergamot, and peach, moves through an unusually varied heart of carnation, jasmine, rose, violet, and orchid, and closes on iris, musk, cedar, and amber. Its name, meaning Fierce or Untamed, positioned it as a bolder, more assertive counterpart to the house's gentler L'Air du Temps and Coeur Joie, reflecting the same shift toward stronger feminine fragrance identities that Charlie was pursuing in the American market.
