Encre Noire(2006)

Created by Nathalie Lorson for Lalique, Encre Noire opens on cypress, moves through an extreme overdose of vetiver, and closes on musk and cedarwood. Its stark, near-monolithic vetiver structure, stripped of the citrus and spice typically used to soften the material, made it one of the most acclaimed and influential minimalist vetiver compositions in modern perfumery, still cited by enthusiasts as a benchmark for raw, earthy vetiver treatment.
