Coromandel(2007)

Created by Jacques Polge for Chanel, Coromandel opens on bergamot and orange, moves through a heart of frankincense, white pepper, and rose, and closes on patchouli, benzoin, white musk, and vanilla. Its name references the lacquered Coromandel screens that decorated Coco Chanel's own Paris apartment, and the composition's warm, resinous patchouli-incense structure was designed to evoke that same exotic, richly layered aesthetic within Chanel's exclusive Les Exclusifs collection.
