Created by Alberto Morillas for Calvin Klein, CK One opens on bergamot, lemon, pineapple, and cardamom, moves through a heart of green tea, jasmine, and violet, and closes on musk, cedarwood, and amber. Marketed as a genderless fragrance meant to be shared by anyone, and fronted by a famously diverse, unisex advertising campaign, it became a defining cultural artifact of 1990s minimalist fashion and one of the most commercially successful and influential unisex fragrances ever released, helping popularize the entire modern shared-scent category.
