Bal d'Afrique(2008)

Created by Jerome Epinette for Byredo, Bal d'Afrique opens on bergamot, neroli, and violet leaf, moves through a heart of African marigold, cassis, and vetiver, and closes on musk and woody notes. Its title references the famous 1920s Parisian balls celebrating African and Caribbean culture, and the composition's warm marigold-vetiver structure helped establish Byredo, founded in 2006, as one of the most influential independent niche houses of the following decade.
