A (Gres)(1947)

An aldehydic mixed-floral composition from Gres's in-house perfumers, opening on aldehydes and bergamot before a blended floral heart, closing on musk, sandalwood, and amber. Titled simply A, it represents one of the earliest fragrance releases from the couture house founded by Madame Gres, known primarily for her sculptural, draped evening gowns, extending her design sensibility into perfumery in the years immediately following the war.
