At a glance
Gourmand is a fragrance family built on edible, dessert-like materials such as vanilla and tonka bean, designed to evoke sweetness rather than flowers or wood.
Edible, dessert-like notes — caramel, chocolate, cotton candy, coffee, vanilla. Popularized almost single-handedly by Thierry Mugler's Angel in 1992, widely credited as the first fully gourmand fine fragrance and one of the most influential and imitated launches of the 20th century.
