Henry Rose's Layering Event Is Back, With Two Limited-Edition Sets

Henry Rose is having a layering moment. The brand, founded by Michelle Pfeiffer in 2019 as a self-funded, genderless fine fragrance line built around full ingredient transparency, has kicked off its annual Layering Event with two limited-edition sets designed around mixing scents rather than committing to just one.

What makes Henry Rose different in the first place

Most fragrance houses treat their formulas as trade secrets and label products simply "fragrance" on the ingredient list, a legal umbrella term that discloses nothing about what's actually inside (a pattern the Olfactionary Academy's own regulation chapter covers in depth). Henry Rose does the opposite: it discloses 100% of its ingredients, and its formulas are built to the standards of two independent nonprofits, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. It's the first fine fragrance brand to hold both an EWG Verified and a Cradle to Cradle Certified distinction at once.

The two Layering Event sets

The Signature Layering Set is $130 and includes a full-size fragrance (50mL), a travel spray (8mL), and a black puffer travel pouch.

The Travel Layering Set is $60 and includes any two travel sprays (8mL) plus the brand's Best Sellers Discovery Set, a lower-commitment way to actually try layering before buying a full bottle.
