Created by Olivier Polge for Chanel, Gabrielle Chanel opens on blackcurrant and mandarin, moves through an elaborate white-floral heart of jasmine, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, and tuberose, and closes on sandalwood, musk, and vanilla. Named directly for Coco Chanel's given first name, it was conceived as a solar, radiant floral bouquet without a single dominant note, and it became one of Chanel's most significant feminine releases of the late 2010s, marking Olivier Polge's establishment of his own distinct voice as the house's in-house perfumer.
