Created by Daphne Bugey for Jean Paul Gaultier, Scandal opens on blood orange and mandarin orange, moves through a heart of honey, gardenia, orange blossom, jasmine, and peach, and closes on beeswax, caramel, patchouli, and licorice. Its dense, honeyed gourmand-floral structure and provocative title continued Gaultier's tradition of bold, headline-grabbing fragrance concepts established with Classique and Le Male decades earlier.
