Frédéric Malle’s "Promise" is a unisex oriental‑floral fragrance created by Dominique Ropion in 2017. It opens with a sharp, tart green‑apple accord accented by pink pepper, rosemary, saffron and clove, before giving way to a rich rose heart that balances the spicy opening. The dry‑down is dominated by a smoky, resinous oud‑imitation blend of cypriol oil, patchouli, castoreum, labdanum and a touch of Ambroxan, giving it an intense, long‑lasting, and slightly animalic character that has made it a signature statement piece for special occasions.
