Created by Thierry Wasser for Guerlain, this variant of Shalimar opens on bergamot and citrus, moves through an overdosed vanilla-and-jasmine heart, and closes on tonka bean, amber, and musk, reworking Jacques Guerlain's foundational 1925 oriental to foreground vanilla even more prominently than the original's already-rich vanillic base.
