The France designation likely distinguishes its rose sourcing from the Bulgarian damask rose more commonly used by Paris houses, pointing instead to domestically grown French rose, likely from Grasse. It represents a more intensified take on the rose soliflore than Houbigant's plainer Rose release from the same year.
