Vertofix, chemically methyl cedryl ketone, is an IFF synthetic giving a clean, dry cedarwood character with ambery, faintly leathery musk facets. It's prized less for standing out than for seamlessly blending and smoothing other woody notes in masculine and fougere compositions.
