Exaltolide

Exaltolide is the synthetic form of cyclopentadecanolide, first isolated from angelica root oil by Kerschbaum in 1927 and named by Ruzicka and Stoll. One of the earliest commercial macrocyclic musks, used in classics such as Jean Carles' Tabu (1932).
